In 1978, John Carpenter’s horror film\u00a0Halloween introduced movie fans to Michael Myers. Myers was a serial killer who began a killing spree on Halloween night. The\u00a0Halloween<\/em> movie series\u00a0is now considered a classic in the horror genre and the famous movie masks remain popular. The iconic character was originally referred to as ” The Shape”. Different versions of the mask appeared in various films in the movie series. Therefore McCullochs Costume features many of those Michael Myers Halloween Masks<\/a>. This includes the mask<\/a> used in Halloween 2018. The costume store is located in London, Ontario Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creation of the famous mask from Halloween<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The original mask was a 1975 Captain James T. Kirk mask. It was purchased for around a dollar. The eyebrows and sideburns were removed and the face was painted fish-belly white. Additionally, the hair was spray-painted brown, and the eyes were opened more with scissors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, every mask used in the follow-up films has been modeled after this design. William Shatner had no idea his likeness was used for this film. He learned about it during an interview. Someone mentioned his mask had been used. Eventually, he even wore one of the Michael Myers Halloween Masks while trick or treating with his children. Because they are popular, Trick or Treat Studios continues to mass-produce affordable replicas of the mask. Deluxe versions of the masks are also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other films in the Halloween franchise include Halloween 2 and Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. In 1989 Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers was released. Six years later Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers brought the Shape back. In 1998, Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later revived Michael Myers. Additionally, Resurrection and Halloween 2018 once again brought the character to a new audience. Because of this, generations of fans are familiar with the mask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For over 40 years the Michael Myers Mask has remained a staple of Halloween. For this reason, you will still find the character in many places.
